There are a few ways to define the appropriate japamala for each person. Some are based on astrology (birthdays or the zodiac sign), but this is very generic, I don't agree that all people who were born on the same day, or who have the same zodiac sign, should use the same stones. Perhaps a very detailed astral map could help, but we cannot forget that each being has its own life story, its needs, its challenges and especially its personal mission. We cannot leave aside our intuition, which directs us to what we need (whether at a moment in life, or always, this will depend on each person). Based on this principle, the stones that attract you (either because of their color or because of their appearance) are the ones that “call you”, therefore the ones that you need.
